"Enough sleep," hears Aevis, "The world has been doomed by fools who have chosen to sleep."
Laying in a bed, Aevis opens his eyes and stares up at the ceiling, trying to figure out where the hell he is. He can remember the mine, but nothing after. And now hes in a bed. But who's bed. Looking to his side, he finds the source of the voice. "Good, you're coming to," says the monkey sitting besides him.
The new location also means a new set of rules for how I want you to interact with the environment. Feel free to roleplay anything you think is assumed to be granted, but in most cases, leave it to me to permit you to do things. For example, you can speak your dialogue with another person, but don't roleplay their reaction. You can tell me you are looking around, but don't assume you find certain things unless I've told you about them. Think of it as playing Dnd on the tabletop more than typing a story. I want you to feel a part of something rather than in control of something.
That being said, REACT.

Aevis felt confused to say the least. He looked around the room for his foxes Noctis and Yoru, who followed him to the light the previous night. He tried to get his bearings when he finally looked back at the monkey. After a brief moment of just staring at the monkey, Aevis sat up and decided that the calmer approach was probably best. He looked again at the monkey and asked "Who are you? Where am I? Where are my pets?

The monkey looked back at him with a blank expression and said "Chim, a bed, no clue." Chim hopped down off the chair and hobbled to the doorway nearby. Ushering Aevis with his hand he said "Come on," and turned around the corner, leaving Aevis alone in the room.

Aevis, having nothing to lose, and more curious than anything else, got up from the bed. He took one final look around the room before following Chim around the corner. Still, Aevis was feeling cautious, and decided to keep an eye open for anything else suspicious.

The room Aevis awoke in is mostly bare. Within the wooden walls lie a bed, a desk, and bookcase that covers an entire wall. Light fills the room through a window to the right of the bed. Trees paint the landscape as far as he can see in a myriad of autumn colors. Still in his clothes from the mine, he flops out his shoes from the sheets and heads towards the doorway. Getting up, Aevis feels a little weak, but okay. Walking through the doorway after Chim, Aevis turns to face a large club barreling down on his face. Too quick to avoid, the wood smashes into his nose, staggering Aevis. "What the HELL!" says the monkey as he swings along the ceiling. "You just follow a monkey? Just like that? What's wrong with you? Have you even ever seen a monkey before? Maybe that's it. Maybe you didn't know we weren't supposed to talk." Dangling from one arm and clenching the club in the other, Chim frowns towards Aevis, "I had hoped for a smarter one than this."

"I knew monkey's didn't talk, but what did I have to lose? Frankly, I was curious." Aevis stood back up straight. "However, now that I know you have no qualms about assaulting me, I'll be more cautious." As Aevis said that, he looked around, but always made sure Chim was in his periphery. Aevis also made sure to check his nose to see if it was broken. "I know you were expecting someone, maybe me maybe not, but I know not the purpose of my being here. Can you tell me that much?"
